Cantrack's SMS table gives these commands for the G09L. Send them to the SIM in the unit, with the default password 123456 unless you changed it: apn123456 followed by a space and your carrier APN, then adminip123456 gps.traxelio.com 5023. Cantrack's table says commands are not case sensitive and the plus sign in its examples is ignored. Then add the IMEI in Traxelio and confirm the first position.
Besides APN and server, the table lists itv123456 900 for a report interval in seconds, smslink123456 to check location, check123456 for status (IMEI, GSM, GPS, IP and port, APN, interval), getimei123456 for the IMEI, beep123456 1 to start remote car search and beep123456 0 to stop it. Ver123456 returns the firmware version.
Cat M1 and Cat NB2 on a Quectel BG95 module, across the LTE FDD band list on the Cantrack page. No 2G or 3G fallback is listed, so ask your carrier whether LTE-M or NB-IoT is active along your routes before you buy a SIM.

Confirm the SIM can receive SMS and that the number you text is the unit's SIM. Commands start with the command word joined to the password, 123456 by default, with no plus sign. If you changed the password, use the new one. Send check123456 to read back the stored APN, IP and port, interval and GPS state.
Compare the check123456 reply with what you sent: the APN must match your carrier and the server must read gps.traxelio.com on port 5023. Then confirm the SIM has data on LTE-M or NB-IoT, since no 2G or 3G fallback is listed.
