GPS tracking by asset type

GPS tracking for fuel tanks

A bulk fuel tank usually has no vehicle power, so a location tracker runs on battery or solar. Traxelio shows where the tank is and alerts you when it moves or leaves its site. With a compatible level sensor and a tracker on stable power, it also follows the fuel level and sudden drops.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, with a compatible level sensor connected to a compatible tracker. Enter the tank capacity and Traxelio shows the level as a percentage and as a volume, with daily and weekly fuel reports. Without a sensor, Traxelio shows where the tank is, not how full it is.

With a compatible level sensor, Traxelio flags a sudden drop in level that may point to siphoning, and you set the thresholds that trigger the alert. Without a sensor, Traxelio cannot see the fuel, but it alerts you if the tank itself is moved.

Not automatically. With a compatible level sensor, Traxelio records a refill when the level rises, with the level before and after. Matching those refills to your supplier delivery notes is a check you do yourself.

A tank has no vehicle power, so a tracker for location and movement alerts runs on its own battery or solar panel. Reading a level sensor needs a compatible tracker with a sensor input and a stable power supply, so check the setup before you order. Battery life depends on the tracker model and the reporting interval.
