Run your Coban GPS104 (TK104) on Traxelio: it reports on the GPS103 protocol, so a short SMS sequence points it at gps.traxelio.com, port 5001, with no hardware swap.

The two names are used for the same product family. The manual is titled GPS104, and a public device list names both Coban GPS104 and Coban TK104 on the GPS103 protocol. Check the label and manual that came with your unit, then follow the GPS103 setup below.
Yes. Traxelio serves the GPS103 protocol, which is the protocol the GPS104 uses. Point the tracker at gps.traxelio.com on port 5001 by SMS, switch it to GPRS mode, then add its IMEI in Traxelio and confirm the first position arrives.
With the default password 123456, send in order: begin123456 (restores factory settings), apn123456 followed by your carrier APN, up123456 with a user name and password only if your carrier requires them, dns123456 gps.traxelio.com 5001, fix030s***n123456 (a position every 30 seconds), then gprs123456. Some firmwares accept only adminip123456 gps.traxelio.com 5001 for the server step. begin wipes the stored settings, so run it first.
Send imei123456 (replace 123456 with your password) and the tracker replies with its IMEI. Enter that number as the device ID in Traxelio. Send check123456 to read the battery, GPS and GSM status in one reply.
The manual rates the built-in 3.7 V 6000 mAh battery at up to 60 days of standby. In GPRS mode the unit does not enter its sleep function, so reporting to Traxelio usually uses more power. For continuous tracking, wire it to 12-24 V external power or charge it regularly; a full charge takes about 5 hours.
Overview
The Coban GPS104, also sold as the TK104, is a portable magnetic GSM/GPRS vehicle tracker. It has a built-in 6000 mAh battery, a 94 × 60 × 38 mm waterproof housing and a weight of 300 g. It runs on a 2G network, in either an 850/900/1800/1900 MHz or a 900/1800/1900 MHz band variant, so check your carrier still offers 2G before buying a SIM. Traxelio serves the GPS103 protocol that the GPS104 uses: set the APN, point the unit at gps.traxelio.com on port 5001, switch it to GPRS mode, then add its IMEI to your account. The default password is 123456 until you change it. A Coban 103B is a different model, so read the label first: GPS103 is the protocol name, and the GPS104 reports on it.

Coban distributes a basic Android app (Coban GPS Tracker) that binds to a device by IMEI and connects to Coban's hosted server. Functional for live map and history but no driving behavior, no multi-vehicle dashboards. Traxelio replaces it with WhatsApp alerts, the Traxelio mobile app, and the web dashboard · same hardware, modern app.

Hold the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds; a shorter press does not switch it on. If the battery is low, connect the charger first. A steady red power LED means it is charging, and steady green means charging has finished.
Check that the SIM card is seated correctly and that the GSM antenna connection is secure, or try another SIM. The GPS104 is a 2G device, so confirm your carrier still runs a 2G network in your area. A GSM LED that is off means the unit is still searching for the network; a flash every second is GSM mode and a flash every 3 seconds is GPRS mode.
The default mode is SMS, so send gprs123456 and wait for GPRS ok. Then confirm the SIM has mobile data and credit by testing it in a phone, check that the APN matches your carrier, and re-send dns123456 gps.traxelio.com 5001 (or adminip123456 gps.traxelio.com 5001). Send check123456 and compare the reply with what you configured. Make sure the IMEI in Traxelio matches the unit.
A flashing blue GPS LED means no GPS reception. Move the unit outdoors with a clear view of the sky, and check the external GPS antenna connection if you use one. A cold start can take about 45 seconds.
The 60-day figure is a standby rating. A tracker in GPRS mode does not fall asleep, and automatic locating keeps it awake, so battery life shortens. Set a longer reporting interval if you do not need frequent positions, for example fix010m***n123456 for one every 10 minutes, or connect 12-24 V external power for permanent installs.
Every command carries the password straight after the keyword, for example apn123456. After changing it with password123456 888888, use the new 6-digit password in every command. The new password must be exactly 6 digits.
