GPS tracking by asset type

GPS tracking for cars

A car GPS tracker should show where your car is, warn you when it moves without you and help you recover it. Traxelio shows your car live in the app, sends movement alerts and supports immobilizer action on compatible wired installations.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

A wired tracker is best fitted by a technician, usually under the dashboard near the fuse box, and the job typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. It can also be hidden behind a trim panel to make it harder to find. Installation availability depends on the store you order from.

An OBD tracker plugs into the diagnostic port in seconds, but it is visible, easy to unplug and cannot support an immobilizer. A wired tracker is hidden inside the car and harder to remove, so it is the stronger option against theft.

Follow the car live on the map and open its trip history. Traxelio alerts you when the parked car moves or the tracker loses power. On compatible wired installations, an immobilizer request prevents a restart once the car is parked and meets the required vehicle condition.

A correctly installed tracker should not drain a healthy car battery during normal use. If the battery drains quickly or the car sits unused for long periods, have the battery tested and the installation checked.

Yes. Traxelio shows your car live on a map in the app and on the web, with its trip history and the alerts you set.
