Freematics on Traccar TCP 5170 is key=value telemetry. FreematicsProtocolDecoder parses comma-separated KEY=VALUE pairs: EV for events (server may ACK 1#EV=…,RX=1,TS=…), and hex PIDs such as 0xA/0xB lat/lon, 0xC altitude, 0xD speed, 0x10c RPM, 0x10d OBD speed, 0x24 battery (÷100), 0x82 device temp (÷10).

PID keys — not Freedom labels

Do not confuse with Freedom’s Lat:/Lon: labels on 5066 or Flex API obd.* JSON on 5235. Freematics’ identity is the hex PID key=value dialect (and optional EV lines).

Stock Traccar reference only. Traxelio lists Freematics as positions_only.

    Confirm key=value PIDs

    Capture must show hex keys like 0xA=… — not Lat: labels.

    Save APN server hostname/IP and port 5170; reboot.
