M2C packs a long ASCII telemetry sentence: protocol marker, IMEI, index, archive flag, priority, event, date/time, lat/lon, altitude, course, speed, satellites, odometer, input/output bits, power, battery, and two ADC channels. Traccar serves it on TCP 5157.
Dense ≠ IoTM binary
IoTM’s story is door matrices. M2C’s story is archive/priority/event headers plus dual ADC in ASCII. Mixing those support macros creates false “same thin shell” overlap.
BSTPL$ is another neighbour
BSTPL on 5241 announces itself with a BSTPL$ prefix and CAN-ish engine fields. M2C does not use that marker.
