Yes. Coban's own listings use TK403 and GPS403 for the same device, then split it into 403A, 403B, 403C and 403D. A and C ship without a remote control, B and D include one.
Yes. It reports on the GPS103 protocol, the same family as the TK303 and 303F. Point the device at the Traxelio server by SMS and it starts reporting without a firmware change.
Only when your carrier has announced a 2G shutdown for your region. The 403 adds 4G LTE and keeps the wiring, the relay and the command set, so the swap is a like-for-like install rather than a retraining exercise.
Coban lists B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B17, B20 and B40, with a second regional listing substituting B28A and B28B. Confirm the band set with your supplier against your local carrier before ordering a batch.
Overview
The Coban TK403, also sold as GPS403, is the 4G LTE successor to the TK303 family in the same hardwired form factor. It keeps the cut-off relay, the microphone and the SOS button, and it still speaks the GPS103 protocol Traxelio decodes directly, so a fleet moving off 2G keeps the wiring pattern and the command set it already knows. Variants split on the remote control: 403A and 403C ship without one, 403B and 403D add it.

Coban distributes a basic Android app (Coban GPS Tracker) that binds to a device by IMEI and connects to Coban's hosted server. Functional for live map and history but no driving behavior, no multi-vehicle dashboards. Traxelio replaces it with WhatsApp alerts, the Traxelio mobile app, and the web dashboard · same hardware, modern app.
The SIM or the local cell is not offering an LTE band the unit carries. Coban ships more than one band set for this model, so check the band list on the unit you actually received against your carrier's LTE bands.
The relay output drives a relay coil, not the load. Confirm the output is wired through a 5-pin automotive relay on the fuel pump or starter circuit, and that the cut is set to apply at the next ignition cycle rather than while the vehicle is moving.
