StarLink on Traccar TCP 5136 is SLU framed ASCII. StarLinkProtocolDecoder matches a head byte, SLU, id (6 hex or 15 digits), type (MSG_EVENT_REPORT=6 among others), index, data, * checksum.
Do not confuse with Starcom on 5190 or Startek on 5222. StarLink’s identity is the SLU…* layout on 5136.
Stock Traccar reference only. Traxelio lists StarLink as positions_only.
ASCII must contain SLU…*checksum — not |unit=|.
Save APN server hostname/IP and port 5136; reboot.
Event report type carries location data payloads.
Trailing *checksum is required.
