Which model you own, and how to run it on Traxelio
Keep your TKSTAR tracker and point it at Traxelio with an SMS server command. Check your model first: Traxelio lists the TK905, TK913, TK918, TK919 and TKS1 on the GPS103 protocol (port 5001), and a public device list shows the TK915 on a different one.
Traxelio publishes the TK905, TK905B, TK913, TK918, TK919 and TKS1 on GPS103, port 5001. A public device list is not the same everywhere: it shows the TK909 on H02, the TK905 and TK-905 as clone names, and the TK915, TK935 and TKSTAR Stick on the Watch protocol. If you own a TK915 or similar unit, confirm what it sends before you switch.
Public protocol notes say GPS103 messages are plain text that starts with imei: and ends with a semicolon, while Watch-protocol messages start with a square bracket and two capital letters. If you cannot read what your tracker sends, contact Traxelio support.
This applies to units that report over GPS103. Send these SMS commands from the tracker's manual, using its password (123456 unless changed): apn123456, a space and your carrier APN; then adminip123456, a space, gps.traxelio.com, a space and 5001. Then add the device in Traxelio and confirm the first position arrives. Command spelling can differ by firmware, so check your manual if the tracker does not reply. If your tracker rejects a host name in adminip, send dns123456 gps.traxelio.com 5001 instead.
In order: the SIM has data (TKSTAR advises at least 30 MB a month) and no PIN code, the APN is correct, the server and port are set (send check123456 to read them back), the tracker is outdoors with a clear sky and not under metal, and the device is powered. TKSTAR also notes that an offline device may have triggered a cut-off, remove or low-power alarm.
Plan on one at a time. The adminip command sets a single server and port, so a unit reports either to the TKSTAR platform or to Traxelio. Note the current settings with check123456 before you change them, and move one test vehicle first.
Check the network bands first. TKSTAR's FAQ asks you to confirm that 2G service still works in your country and that the SIM supports the band of your unit, and its range includes 4G versions of the TK905. Confirm your unit's generation on its label or manual before you buy a SIM.
