Quick answers

Can I switch from Wialon without replacing my Teltonika devices?

Yes. Teltonika devices speak the documented Codec 8 protocol. Re-point the server IP and port in the Teltonika Configurator (or send an SMS configuration command) and the same FMB/FMC/FMM unit reports to Traxelio. No re-install.

Does Traxelio read the CAN bus and OBD-II data?

Yes. Codec 8 Extended carries CAN, OBD-II, RS232 and RS485 data the same way to any platform. Fuel level, odometer, ignition state, driver ID, FMS profiles all decode.

Which Teltonika families ship the most in Senegal and Africa?

FMB920 and FMC003 lead because they are OBD-plug devices · 5-minute install, no wiring. FMC125 and FMC150 are common on heavier commercial vehicles where CAN is wired.

Is the 2G sunset a problem for my FMB devices?

Yes in the EU and North America (2G/3G shutdowns 2025-2030). Most local SN/Africa carriers still operate 2G. The FMC line is the drop-in upgrade path, same form factor, same protocol.

Does Teltonika sell direct?

No. Teltonika sells only through its distributor network. In Senegal, devices route through the Dakar partner channel. Traxelio sources from the same authorized chain.

Download or log in to Teltonika Configurator

Configurator is a desktop app (Windows) used to set the server endpoint, accelerometer thresholds, geofence rules, and I/O assignments on FMB/FMC/FMM devices over USB. Codec 8 + GPRS settings are read and written from the same screen. There is no end-user mobile app · Teltonika devices report to a platform, the platform (Traxelio, Wialon, Navixy, etc.) provides the user app.
