Yes for power · the OBD-II port provides 12V, ground, and ignition signal. Plug the device in, wait 1-2 minutes for first fix, done. No wiring, no dashboard work. The trade-off: OBD-II port is occupied (conflicts with scan tools) and the device is visible.
Yes · H02 protocol. Send the standard SMS server-configuration command and the device reports to Traxelio without firmware change. Most common in Senegal as a starter tracker before customers upgrade to wired devices.
Limited · early LK209 firmware only emits GPS position, not OBD-II PIDs. For real OBD-II data (engine RPM, fuel level, DTC codes), you want a Teltonika FMC003 or FMB003 instead.
Overview
LK209 is a SinoTrack OBD-II plug-and-play tracker · 2G GSM/GPRS reporting, no install, drops into the OBD-II port for instant vehicle visibility.

OBD-II port retention varies by vehicle. For West African roads, secure with a zip-tie loop or wire it as a backup retention. Some users tape the device to prevent slip-out.
Some vehicles cut OBD-II power with ignition. The LK209 has a small internal battery (~30 min) but no long-term standby. For overnight tracking, use a hardwired device with backup battery.
