GSM antenna placement issue. JM-VL03's compact form has a less optimized internal antenna than GT06N. In marginal areas (rural roads), signal can drop. Move the device to a higher mounting position with sky-facing antenna.
Output is rated ~150mA, not enough to drive a fuel pump directly. Wire to a 12V/30A automotive relay (Bosch 5-pin) and switch the pump or starter through that. Standard practice for all wired vehicle trackers.
